Description of Duties

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reports;

• Submission of tax filings and final accounts;

• Management of accounting functions including credit control;

• Supervision of accounting function in satellite offices in Djibouti and Oman.

This is an exiting opportunity for a mature and meticulous individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should be fully qualified accountants with at least 2 years post qualification experience. Applicants must be able to work under minimum supervision and on their own initiative. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in the Maritime & Shipping Industry.

Language Requirements

English, French (additional languages an asset)

Education Level

B.Com (Accountancy) & ACCA qualification is an asset.

Particular Skills

 excellent people skills and fluency in English

 excellent MS Office & proficiency in the use of computerised office applications;

 knowledge of accounting & accounting packages;

 a highly organised character and ability to work on own initiative and without supervision.

Experience

Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in Maritime & Shipping.
